Lightness of Being…

Salaam,

Read everything here with a grain of salt. When I go back to some of my older posts (like the old introductions I have had on this page), I always cringe at the preach-iness that sometimes seeps out and at some ideas that I actually disagree with now.

Short of deleting everything I write, I am willing myself to persevere and trying to achieve some measure of consistency and constancy in who I am. 

Beauty has always moved me and I am learning to find and nurture it in small spaces of silence, nature, my children’s eyes (feet, tiny hands, everything), poetry, and the greater song that makes me tranquil and restless in it’s melodies.

I am also unearthing (an archeological dig of great necessity) the (once) severred artist and writer within; and it makes me sad to realize I had neglected her for so long. I take hope in that it’s a brand new day and as long as I bear witness to the rising sun, it’s never too late.

Join me fellow pilgrim along this path of mine. Stay a while, have a cup of tea, take off your sandals, and let’s share something of each other that’s meaningful and kind.
