7 & 3: Random and weird
05/25/07
Asiya memed me for 7 random things about me and a long long while back Writeoussister did the same with 10 weird things about me; since I am really lazy I am combining these. Enjoy
a) I segment my day with showers. It helps me feel rejuvenated and fresh. Yes, I am the crazy lady who takes a pre-work out shower and a post-work out shower, a pre-work shower and post-work shower or a pre-cleaning shower and a post-cleaning-the house shower etc. This tendency varies with the seasons. But summer time is coinciding with my third trimester and I might as well move into the bathroom.
b) I am a sentimental fool. I get attached to the randomest things, like how I felt a twinge of sadness in writing my currrent landlord her last rent check. Yes, it’s pretty pathetic.
c) I still have dreams about my primary and high school days, replete with all the characters/friends I knew from back then. I think a part of my subconscious never outgrew that period….I have yet to dream of my college days; my mom said that would happen when (or if) I hit 60 and come to terms with growing up (maybe).
d) My mom is my best (girl) friend. It would be my little sister if I didn’t want to kill her half the time (in a benign sibling fashion of course.)
e) My husband is my best (boy) friend. Although Sufyan is proving to be some serious competition and now I have another little man to add to the mix (Inshaallah.) I feel like a princess
f) The word boyfriend makes me giggle.
g) I am seriously considering home schooling (more on this later). My larger family thinks I am nuts.
h) I am always in observation mode. I am trying to turn off the note-taker within. It’s not easy.
i) My views, thoughts, ideas are always changing; I guess you could call it growth; but it really terrifies me too.
j) I saw this quote somewhere: “We have just enough religion to make us hate, but not enough to make us love one another.” – Jonathan Swift. And it really made me sad to reflect on how true it rings.
It’s fun to procrastinate when I am drowning in boxes. Big moving day is this Sunday (pray for my sanity please.)
I tag anyone who is looking for some amusement
May your hearts soak in neverending beauty (amin.)

b,c,e,f,i,hehehehe,I think the *boyfriend* thingy is because of the *environment* we grew up in. I remember how someone had to *whisper* or *look around* before saying boyfriend. I just laugh whenever I think of that. Ahh,childhood. Mabruk habibty,dh says he is surrounded by *women* for you it would be the opposite
. Salaams!

The larger family will come around when they see the results of homeschooling. At least, that’s been the case with our family.
Of course, you do want your husband on board from the outset. You do not want disunity in the immediate family.

maliha, you live in the dc metro area rite? if you get a chance and don’t mind, can you email me at ayeshasa at gmail? i’m interested in homeschooling too inshallah… lot of people think i’m nuts too
but that’s probably more because i don’t have a microwave in my house for health reasons…

Salamaat,
Jamila: someone said once “if you are not changing, you are dead…” (or something like that) i take comfort in those words.
sf: hahah its totally the environment…boyfriend is soo taboo
Irving: eerrrmm thanks (?) you calling me crazy?
tom; i won’t even think of it had my husband not been suppportive. I hope I can set a good example for homeschoolers everywhere
ayesha: I will email you. It’s funny I was thinking about you a couple of days ago, am thinking of hosting a little girly get together and I thought of inviting you…although you may think me crazy to even think it…anywho, it would be cool to meet another blogger in the area
Getting rid of the microwave is on my list too, good for you girl!
